UTV & Side-by-Side Insurance

There’s nothing quite like the feel of two wheels on the open road. Whether you’re cruising for the weekends on a Sportster, winding through twisties on a GSX-R, or trying to save on gas for your daily commute, we’ve got the proper coverage to protect any bike.

Coverage

We provide all the coverage you could possibly need for your motorcycle. Here’s some of the popular coverage types that we offer:

Liability Insurance pays for damages that you are liable for, meaning damages that you caused. If you run a red light and collide with oncoming traffic, Liability Insurance covers the other party’s vehicle repairs, medical expenses, or property damages. If you have what is known as “Full Coverage”, your damages will be paid for as well.

*Basic Liability Insurance is required in all states to drive on public roads. *

Comprehensive Insurance
This coverage pays for your motorcycle repairs if it is damaged by anything other than a traffic accident. This includes theft, vandalism, the environment, etc.

Collision Insurance
This coverage pays for your motorcycle repairs when involved in a traffic accident. The amount of compensation you receive will vary, depending on how much of the accident was your fault. If you are 0% at-fault, your insurance company should indemnify you entirely.

* These two coverage types usually come paired on an Auto Insurance policy, and are jointly referred to as “Comp’ & Collision” by the industry. *

Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Insurance covers you for medical expenses and motorcycle damages when the other party doesn’t have insurance, or doesn’t have enough insurance to cover the cost of damages.

*This coverage is required in most states, but can be excluded with a waiver.*

Medical Payments help pay minor medical expenses in an emergency; like an ambulance ride to the hospital. It should not be thought of as a substitute for a Health Insurance policy, as the coverage limits tend to be low.

Roadside Assistance offers towing and can provide emergency fluids if you find yourself stranded. Many companies offer this, such as SafeCo, AAA, and more.

Motorcycle Policy Discount

Discounts

There are dozens of ways to save on a motorcycle policy, but your best bet is with discounts. These discounts are commonly available from most insurance companies:

You could save if you haven’t haven’t had a claim or received a ticket within the last 3 years.

If you’re a student under the age of 25, maintain a B average (2.7 GPA) or higher to receive this discount.

Having more than one vehicle on your Motorcycle Insurance policy qualifies for a discount. Adding even more vehicles to the same policy can save you big time!

Having more than one type of policy with your Insurance Provider will net you major savings. For instance, combining your Auto and Homeowners Insurance could potentially negate the cost of your Homeowners Insurance entirely.

Staying with the same Insurance Provider for 3+ years can earn you discounts for your loyalty.

Having your insurance premium withdrawn automatically each month will qualify you for an additional discount.

Tips

Are your liability limits high enough?

These days, medical expenses and vehicle repair bills can be astronomical. State Minimum limits give you modest coverage, but in a serious accident they will not cover all of your expenses.

Haven Insurance recommends at least $50,000 in Liability Coverage per person, $100,000 in Liability Coverage per accident, and $50,000 for Property Damages.

What kind of deductibles should you pay?

A deductible is a dollar amount paid to your Insurance Provider to access your coverage. Deductibles can range from $250 to $2500 or more.

Higher deductibles will lower your monthly payments, while lower deductibles will raise your monthly payments.
